I have always been drawn to the work of Paul Gaugin. I love his use of color. In 1895 Gaugin sailed off to Tahiti, and never returned to Europe. Don't we all have fantasies like that?

Awesome P, with the eye open wide, soaking in all the colors and images and fullness Gaugin has to offer :-D
ReplyDeleteLove the P too! We had a Gaugin print in my old office in San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteThe Beaded P is my favorite so far as well...but I have enjoyed them all and have been inspired by your work. Paul Gaugin is also a favorite painter for many of the same reasons as you mentioned. His life story is quite interesting and makes for great reading and obviously a good subject for film. Thanks for sharing the photos and your eye popping 'P'.
