Things Come Apart

Good weather and lots of life changes have made my creative creek run dry lately. When I don't have my beading needle in hand I do miss it, so I have still been trying to produce.

This piece is about the life path I have been on, and it's disintegration.  I thought I was on solid ground, but I now realize I've been on an arctic ice floe. Underneath my feet the water has been shifting, the temperature has been warming, and now the once thick drift ice is breaking into pieces.

Change can be difficult, but it's a pretty regular part of life. When faced with change it's important to make the best of it, and to make it work for you.

I feel like I'm on a sturdy chunk of ice that will carry me to a new floe, or maybe to land -- and then on to new adventures.

  1. Nice to see you back and I love your piece! I love the all white and how you made it part of what you are going through right now. I think you said it perfectly and we all have had this share. I never think things come in 3 but in 7's and 8's! It is sometimes hard to stay on the ice flow but we must and love that quote because it is all how we decide to handle what faces us. I hope you find more time to create
