Creatures of the Deep

Hello Dear Little Blog.  Sorry I've been ignoring you.  Sometimes my flesh and blood existence assumes a life of its own, far from the computer.

Peaceful days spent wandering the beach have resulted in a harmonious state of mind, and a large pile of rocks.

When I was a kid I used to draw made-up animals, I can't remember them all but I do remember the "elefish", the head of an elephant on the body of a fish.  Well, the rocks the ocean tossed out to me have been transformed into made-up creatures of the sea.  It was great fun to reconnect with my inner child.

  1. Wow! Neat! I'm so pleased with these! Lovely and creative. The ocean has been good to you. All the best. Painter in SF

  2. I love holey rocks! There are tons of them on a beach in Bolinas, CA. I wish I'd picked up more.

  3. That is a fantastic quote! and these rock creations are wonderful ... as if alive! I don't know if I could pick a favorite? perhaps the green one? but they are all amazing!! can't wait to see what you do with this pile of rocks!

  4. I love this idea and feel so inspired by your creations! Thank you for this post. I think I needed a little beady inspiration.

  5. You know I just about jumped out of my skin when I saw these today!!! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!! The rocks themselves are quite a find, but what you have done with them is fantastic! That elefish creation has served you well in making these rock sculptures. The fringe and the tentacles are such a cool way to go with these. I cannot wait to see more!!! Enjoy your peace on the beach <3

  6. Utterly gorgeous pieces! What a lovely transformation ! You've captured the beautiful moments at the beach and created a such lovely collection .

Welcome smart people. Please, tell me what you think.
