October Fest

Welcome to the October Fest Blog Hop!

Today my post will be short as the participant list is long and you need time to hop.

I made one bead embroidered piece.  My inspiration for this piece was a tornado.

I wanted to capture pent up energy.  The whirling, swirling unpredictable motion of wild winds.  I'm not sure I managed that.  Now that I look at it I see a fire dancer instead.

This is my first raised bead embroidered piece.  There is a piece of rope sewn down under the beads of the body of the funnel.

A HUGE thank you to Rita at Toletc Jewels/Jewel School Friends for putting this hop together.  Here are all the other lovely participants, if you prefer they are all listed on Rita's blog as well:

  4. Wow~the dimension and the colors and the theme and the emotion are all so strong and vivid. What a fantastic piece! The chaos and the energy comes through clearly, whether it be the intended tornado or the unintended fire dancer. Another fantastic piece, Liz!
