Shelton / Vera Cruz

I was off wandering on my bicycle the other day and quite by accident found the most amazing house.  It's called Vera Cruz.

I did a little research and found out it is the brain child of architect Jeff Shelton.  He handed out panels to local artists and asked them to make paintings.  Shelton also painted some of the panels himself.

The paintings were done with UV paint and have a special coating, but eventually will age and need to be replaced.  I love the idea that you can paint the outside of your house one rectangle at a time.  And I think it's wonderful all those local artists contributed their talent.

Apparently he has designed a few other buildings locally.  Think I'll go see what the others are like.
